VPG is looking for talented hardware engineers to join the experienced team that designs all of Intel’s GPU products. Intel’s GPU products are constantly evolving to run all the leading edge applications in 3D graphics, machine learning, video processing, and other highly parallelized data applications. The team produces new designs every year, with years of new designs already in the development pipeline. Joining this team will give you an opportunity to shape and develop products that will be used worldwide, and that will run tomorrow’s most important parallel computing applications.

In this position, you will help us with the following responsibilities:

  • Own a GPU block for the full design cycle from definition to first silicon.

  • Define and implement microarchitecture specifications and RTL code for GPU blocks.

  • Develop test plans, functional models, and test benches to verify the functionality and performance of GPU blocks.

  • Debug and validate GPU blocks using debuggers and test benches with hardware simulators.

Minimum Skills and Experience that we are looking for:

BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other related field with 3+ years of relevant experience or 2+ years with a Masters.

Your experience should be in the following areas:

  • Working knowledge of computer architecture/organization fundamentals

  • Front-end logic design and verification of large aprox. 100Ks to Ms of gates, complex, high-speed 1GHz digital systems, under real-world physical design constraints

  • Verification languages such as Verilog or System Verilog.

  • logic simulation, synthesis, and timing analysis tools and environments familiarity with broader ASIC development flows

Preferred Skills and Experience that will make you stand out

  • Familiarity/experience with Formal Property Verification flows/tools

  • Knowledge of Cache based designs & Cache Coherency flows is a huge plus

  • Experience with Perl, Shell scripting, Makefiles, TCL a plus

  • Very strong background in logic verification with a good understanding of logic design concepts

  • Knowledge & experience in RTL Verification Methodology and Design
