Kforce has a client in search of a Transcription Team Member in Roseville, California (CA). Essential Job Functions:

  • Monitors interface error log and dictation & transcription error queues

  • Supplies providers with proper dictation codes, resolution of communication issues with Electronic Health Records (EHR) Documentation Transcriptionists, and monitoring of turnaround times for transcriptions that are due

  • Supports the success of a high-performing shared services organization by helping to champion and drive the long-term client Shared Services vision

  • Helps foster an environment in which continuous improvement in business processes and services is welcomed and recognized

  • Participates in programs and in using tools in support of building a high-performance culture via the standard client Shared Services responsibilities (e.g. performance measurement, people development, customer relationship management, etc.)

Assignment Specific Responsibilities:

* * Monitors the availability of dictation for inclusion in the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system

* * Identifies if systems are down and escalates appropriately to ensure the processing and distribution of all incoming transcriptions within established standards and timelines by managing work queues and client EHR error logs; Reviews and manages various systems, error log reports as assigned

* * Assists physicians with transcription/system issues (e.g., access to systems, document type errors, distribution)

* * Navigates within dictation systems and other various medical record systems to accurately validate/correct/edit dictated reports

* * Maintains provider database; Performs physician database clean-up in client

* * Works closely with customers to identify and resolve advanced problems, following through to ensure final resolution

  • Good organization skills; ability to prioritize multiple activities and objectives in a rapidly changing environment, and deliver quality service

  • Ability to work concurrently on a variety of tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment with identified productivity requirements and with individuals

  • Excellent ability to communicate ideas both verbally and in writing to interact with others using one-on-one contact and group discussions

  • Ability to learn new applications/software systems effectively and efficiently

  • Requires the ability to work with and maintain confidential information

  • Ability to work closely with health care application users, vendors, and technical professionals

Highly Desired skills:

  • Professional experience in a clinical setting

  • General knowledge/awareness of all areas related to EHR Documentation and how they interrelate preferred

  • Epic Bridges module knowledge

  • Knowledge of medical terminology

  • Knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques related to EHR Documentation methods preferred

  • Familiarity with EHR Documentation management functions preferred

  • Knowledge of Electronic Health Records system applications, preferably Epic

  • Effective analytical, problem, and issue resolution experience is preferred

  • Data entry skills

  • Customer service skills

  • Requires strong accuracy, attentiveness to detail and time management skills for processing medical dictation

  • Aptitude to conceptualize, plan, and implement stated goals and objectives

  • Analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to use spreadsheet and word processing software applications, preferably Microsoft suite
