Kforce has a client in search of an Office Clerk in Sacramento, California (CA). Essential Job Functions:

  • Performs receptionist and front office duties for Total Health & Productivity Management department

  • Answers department phone line using professional and courteous telephone etiquette and in a timely manner

  • Relays calls and messages to department staff in a timely manner

  • Meet, greets, and directs visitors of the office to the appropriate person in a highly professional manner

  • Answers the front door per departmental policy on visitor access

  • Ensures the accurate, timely, and appropriate delivery of workers' compensation and disability management benefits to client's employees by accurately and appropriately managing the daily mail flow

  • Opens, sorts, scans, and identifies and indexes incoming mail within established timeframes

  • Identifies and indexes electronic faxes and emails to claims staff within established timeframes

  • Delivers daily mail folders to staff within established timeframes

  • Ensures the accurate and timely payment of benefits by managing the bill review workflow

  • Date stamps and bundles medical bills for overnight courier within established timeframes

  • Faxes pharmacy bills to pharmacy bill review vendor within established timeframes

  • Collates checks with medical bill review explanation of benefits forms and verifies checks for accuracy (confirm amount, correct vendor, claim number) before mailing

  • Proactively ensures that supplies are available for mailing medical payments and overnighting medical bills

  • Provides general and clerical support to the Total Health & Productivity department

  • Proactively orders and maintains office/kitchen supplies ensuring supplies are replenished as needed and on a timely basis

  • Ensures that copy and file rooms are organized, maintained and equipment is in proper working order

  • Submits payroll exception reports and distributes payroll envelopes

  • Experience with HCFAs

  • Attention to detail
