Dignity Health Mercy General Hospital has been serving the Sacramento community for more than 100 years. Founded by the Sisters of Mercy, Mercy General has been at its current site in the heart of East Sacramento since 1925. Mercy General Hospital has 342 licensed beds, a physician staff of more than 800 and is the highest volume cardiac procedure hospital in California. Mercy General is one of six Sacramento area hospitals that are part of Dignity Health, a system of 39 hospitals and medical centers in California, Arizona and Nevada.


Position Summary:

The incumbent in this position is accountable to lead the development, coordination, integration and implementation of structures and processes that will meet the data administration needs for Mercy General Hospitals quality and performance improvement activities. These responsibilities are to be carried out in a manner consistent with the Mission and Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years Hospital experience in data management and at least 1 year supervisory experience.

  • Bachelors degree in a business or a health related field

  • RN license

  • Supporting information reporting processes using end-user software and reporting tools.

  • Advanced knowledge of personal computer word processing, spreadsheet and other database programs, including Excel and Access. Report writer and other analytical tools, including graphical analysis.
